Derek L. Copeland — Principal, Sentinel Grove Partners

In this episode, we sit down with Derek L. Copeland, Principal at Sentinel Grove Partners, a capital management and investment group that has completed over 80 projects, raised $300 million, and built a portfolio valued at $1 billion since its founding in 2015.

Derek’s story starts in the summer of 1987, when a teenage grass-cutting business and a stockbroker neighbour introduced him to markets right after the crash, when everything was on sale. That early experience sparked a career that took him through Andersen Consulting, UBS Financial Services, Morgan Stanley, and eventually to founding his own boutique wealth management firm before building Sentinel Grove Partners into what it is today.
