Digitising Global Freight Documentation

Antony Joseph Kitherian Xavier (Founder & CEO), John Martin (Chief Revenue Officer), & Eric Marty (European Lead) — Blychain Network

In this Xraised episode, we welcome back the Blychain Network team for a second appearance, this time with three voices at the table. Founder and CEO Antony Joseph Kitherian Xavier, Chief Revenue Officer John Martin, and European Lead Eric Marty join the show to break down one of the most consequential regulatory shifts in global trade: the EU’s eFTI framework and what it means for freight forwarders, logistics operators, and the future of digital documentation.

Eric sets the scene by explaining exactly what eFTI is and why 2027 is a deadline no logistics business can afford to ignore. The regulation mandates that every EU member state must accept digital freight data in a standardised format, effectively ending decades of document fragmentation across road, rail, inland waterway, and air transport. As Eric puts it, the window to adapt is closing fast.
